In today’s world, Halloween is celebrated on the 31st of October every year. And similarly will be celebrated on Monday 31st of October 2022 this year. Halloween is a 2000 years old festival that comes from the ancient Celtics, they used to say that on this night the border between the second world and earth becomes transparent or blurred, which lets the ghosts of their forefathers come back to this world.
They also said that on this night, the visit or ghostly spirits make it easier for them to predict the future.
Over time in the 1800s Americans adopted the religious event and started celebrating it as a holiday or fun event, they started ghost pranks, trick or treats, neighbourly get together, and so on.

We do celebrate Halloween for thousands of years but there are plenty of facts about Halloween we aren’t aware of.
1. Samhain:
The Celts who lived in Ireland, also called “Irish” started celebrating Halloween 2000 years ago and named it “Samhain”. They perceive it as an indication of the ending of summer and the start of the dark winter.
2. Religious Event:
Halloween was a religious event at the start, but after the adoption of Irish-Americans and Indian-Americans, we had seen a new and completely different version of Halloween.
3. Jack-o-Lantern:
Whenever we listen the word “Jack-o-lantern” we automatically imagine pumpkins. But do you know centuries ago jack-o-lanterns were made of potatoes and turnips? Even the first Jack-o-Lantern was made of a huge turnip. But now pumpkins are used as an alternative of it because it is economical and less smelly while crafting.
Celebrations:
As mentioned above after discovering a whole new Halloween, the trends of celebration have changed. The most common way of celebrating Halloween in America is through Parties, People celebrate Halloween parties in different ways, such as Costume shows, Family gatherings, Trick or treating, and many more.
